Guide Dogs NSW/ACT has unveiled its first ever magazine, bringing community stories, expert advice and heart-warming updates into one accessible publication.
The biannual magazine, produced entirely in-house, is designed to connect readers with the organisation’s work and highlight the impact of Guide Dogs on people living with low vision and blindness.
Michael Apte, Chief Marketing Officer at Guide Dogs NSW/ACT, said the launch marked a milestone for the organisation.
“We’re so proud to launch the very first Guide Dogs magazine. It’s a unique opportunity to share some of the community’s inspiring stories and explore the ways we support people living with low vision or blindness, while also celebrating the incredible history of Guide Dogs,” Mr Apte said.
The debut issue features veterinarian and Guide Dogs Ambassador Dr Katrina Warren, who shares specialised training advice for dog parents. Readers are also introduced to 23-year-old Karlee, who was matched with Guide Dog Isla two years ago, and Sydney Head Teacher Alyssia, who has been raising puppies at her school for 20 years.
The magazine also covers services such as the Assistive Technology program, fundraising initiatives, and lighter additions including puzzles.
The magazine is free and fully accessible online via the Guide Dogs NSW/ACT website.
Future editions will continue to share community stories and highlight services across the organisation.
