In its new “Scratch Loves Your Dog’s Guts” campaign, Scratch shows its commitment to providing premium nutrition for dogs.

The entire campaign was developed and executed in-house, which the brand says shows their commitment to innovation and creative excellence.

The campaign cost a total of $15,000 with the team using as many recycled materials as possible.

Isabelle Mason, Creative Director at Scratch, said the campaign’s creativity prove great marketing doesn’t need to cost the earth.

“We wanted to tackle the serious issue of gut health in a creative, captivating, and fresh manner that resonates with dog owners,” she said.

“Our goal was to make people care about something they can’t see until it’s too late.

“Our campaign encapsulates the essence of Scratch as a company, celebrating wild creativity, playfulness, and a commitment to quality.

“From concept to production, we’ve poured our hearts and souls into every aspect of this campaign,” Mason concluded.

70% of a dog’s immune system is based in the gut

The campaign’s goal is to shed light on the importance of gut health in dogs and why healthy dog food is essential.

Despite 70% of a dog’s immune system being based in the gut, Scratch says many traditional dog foods overlook gut health.

Scratch’s co-founder, Mike Halligan, says the campaign aims to educate dog owners about the signs of poor gut health.

“Such as red skin, itching, and irregular bowel movements, and the invisible long-term effects, including early disease and cancers.”

Here’s why gut health is important in dogs:x

Digestion and nutrient absorption The primary function of the gut is to digest food and absorb nutrients.

A healthy gut ensures that your dog is getting all the nutrients it needs from its diet.

Immune system support A significant portion of the immune system is located in the gut.

A healthy gut microbiome can help to protect your dog from infections and diseases.

Mental health Recent research has shown a connection between gut health and mental health in humans, and the same is likely true for dogs.

A healthy gut can contribute to a happier, less anxious dog.

Prevention of gastrointestinal disorders Maintaining a healthy gut can help to prevent common gastrointestinal disorders in dogs, such as diarrhea, constipation, and inflammatory bowel disease.

Weight management A healthy gut can help to regulate your dog’s weight.

Obesity can lead to a number of health problems in dogs, so maintaining a healthy weight is important for overall health.

Skin health There’s a connection between gut health and skin health.

A healthy gut can contribute to a healthier coat and less skin issues.

Longevity Overall, a healthy gut contributes to a healthier, longer life for your dog.

Important! Remember, a balanced diet, regular exercise, and routine veterinary check-ups are key to maintaining your dog’s gut health. If you have any concerns about your dog’s gut health, it’s always best to consult with a veterinarian.

Scratch offers three dog food recipes – Turkey, Beef & Lamb, Pasture-raised Lamb, and Sensitive Kangaroo.

Each recipe is carefully formulated to boost gut health and restore balance in dogs with unbalanced gut flora.

By highlighting links between nutrition and overall wellbeing, Scratch hopes dog owners will make good dietary choices.

Isabelle Mason, Creative Director at Scratch, says the campaign’s aim was to address the serious issue of gut health in a creative and captivating way that resonates with dog owners.

“The “Scratch Loves Your Dog’s Guts” campaign was developed and executed in-house, demonstrating Scratch’s dedication to innovation and creative excellence.

“Our campaign encapsulates the essence of Scratch as a company, celebrating wild creativity, playfulness, and a commitment to quality.

“From concept to production, we’ve poured our hearts and souls into every aspect of this campaign,” Mason concluded.
