The pet store on Bunnerong Road at Eastgardens shared CCTV on social media of three men allegedly stealing the eight-week-old puppy on Monday 3 July.

The post attracted a lot of attention, with many people concerned about the welfare of the dog.

NSW Police immediately began an investigation into the theft and, two days later, they arrested a man in Albury.

The 31-year-old was charged with shoplifting and put before the courts.

Following further investigations, police arrested two other men in Albury; however, the puppy still hadn’t been located and fears were growing for his safety.

Both men – aged 21 and 22 – were charged with a range of offences, including stealing a dog; they also remain before the courts.

Thankfully, when police went to a home in Lavington, near Albury, on Thursday afternoon, they were greeted by the French Bulldog puppy.

The puppy was in good condition and is in the process of being reunited with his owners.
